What is it? The Wand is a computer controlled dental injection. The flow rate of the local anesthetic is controlled by a computer, meaning a slow and steady injection, which is therefore more comfortable. Many people have had bad dental experiences..often with injections. They think that needles sting because the skin is pierced, but most often the sting was caused because the anesthetic was delivered too quickly. The wand assures a slower, more comfortable delivery. Many patients don't even realize that they've received an injection, which can be reassuring for people with previous bad experiences.
